Blogger Returns with Drawing for a Prize!

I am sorry I haven't posted lately.  We sold a house, bought a house, and moved in September and October last year.  That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!  Meanwhile, my sewing mojo ran away in the Winter and came back in the Spring.

Eating healthy food is always a priority with us, and we started a garden in the Spring.  Making smoothies and fruit slushes has been an on-again-off-again thing, and we recently got back to making green smoothies.

I promise to post more often on my blog.  I also plan to post some sewing tutorials occasionally.

I want to celebrate my 100th blog post by giving away some awesome soap that we buy locally.  Here's a link to the creator of these lovely soaps.  Here is a picture of the prize soap collection, which I selected just for my readers:

Here's how to enter in the drawing for these awesome soaps:
  1. Tell me in a comment on my blog that you want to enter in the drawing (only USA destinations please).
  2. Include your email address in your comment, and please write it the way you say it.  Use the words "at" and "dot" instead of the symbols if you want your entry to be included in the drawing.
  3. One entry per email address with the following exception:
  4. Answer these questions to get one additional entry per email address:

  • Have you ever used a sewing machine?
  • What was the last thing you sewed or mended using a sewing machine?
  • What is your current sewing skill level?

The drawing will be done by random number generator at Noon on Sunday, June 19, 2011 (East coast of USA), so enter by Saturday, June 18.

Good luck!

  1. Hi Mary!
I use machines all the time. The last thing I made was a dress yesterday and I would have to say my skills are on the advanced side.

  2. Aloha Mary! Glad to see you're posting on your blog again. I'm hoping you'll add some of your healthy recipes online, especially the green smoothies. I just started doing green smoothies and am loving it. I'll start posting some on my gardening page soon, even though my garden isn't growing anything new yet.
And I use my machines nearly everyday. Last thing I made was a coffin liner, but I'm working on a dragon doll now.

  3. Hi Mary!!!
I use my sewing machine as much as I can, mostly for quilts. The last thing I made was a tooth fairy pillow for Daniil, who lost his first 2 teeth!
I'm pretty advanced with my machine for quilting - novice for clothing :)

  4. Hi Mare!
Glad to see you back. All things clicking along here in Godzone.

My mojo is gone at the moment, too much stuff to do for uni. The last thing I mended was my daughters jacket. ITs winter though and a break is coming up so I will bust it all out and at least cut out three outfits for myself for spring.

    And so it goes
    blessings :-)

  5. Thanks for extending the contest as I would have missed it! I surely want to be included.
I have three machines and during the summer sew as much as possible. My son keeps asking for me to make something ans will describe it, with a variety of result, the last being an elasticized vinyl tablecloth for his picnic table. I have three quilt is various stages and some burp cloths in progress as well. I consider myself "experienced" in all types of sewing except tailoring but mostly don't sew garments much any more.

  7. I'd love to enter! kpsews AT sbcglobal DOT net

I do own a sewing machine...The last thing I made was a top for myself a couple of months ago. I consider my sewing skills to be advanced beginner to intermediate, depending on how confident I'm feeling. :)

  9. I helped Carolyn G do her contest entry, so I helped her forget to enter her email address. I just happen to know what it is ...
